The Admin group meets at a local coffee shop once a month to engage other community members. The Admin realizes paper communication is weak because there is no local paper. K-8 Admin is communicating very effectively with staff and parents – both are hoping to see this level of communication consistently throughout the year. | Parents wish there was a consistent level of communication from all teachers – some do well, some they never hear from. Worries about lack of communication moving from MS to HS for students that are not as responsible in relaying information. |
| The Admin has developed systems and processes that help the staff align to the strategic priorities. Teachers have provided valuable input in the “Year at a Glance,” Scope and Sequences, and Vertical Alignment Discussions. K-8 Holding staff and students accountable for high expectations – Trust and respect is a priority this year and staff and parents feel supported and involved. Everyone knows Profile of a Learner as well as behavior expectations – directly tied to vision and mission | Focus needs to be on teacher implementation of such priorities (mentioned in strengths). |
| The Admin has developed observation tools (MiniObservation Form and Trust Observation Forms) and have built Randa goals prioritizing classroom walkthroughs. The admin realizes they have expert teachers in the district and capitalize on these expert teachers by having them demonstrate their skill sets in monthly PDs. | |
| K-8 – Teachers enjoy learning strategies/best practices from other staff members, they don’t feel that their time is wasted in meetings everything is valuable and worthwhile. There have been a lot of new processes and procedures implemented this year – focused on priorities that have positive feedback so far. |
