Learning Climate – SSR Findings

Strength AreasGrowth Areas
Administration has made it a priority to provide opportunity for community relations to grow through Community Connections
Night and monthly coffee talks. We found through all categories that the school is a welcoming and positive environment to be a part of. Students and staff feel that they can depend on others.
An area of growth for the district is to make sure that information is being communicated through one dedicated platform.
Students, staff, and parents feel as though school is a safe place to be for all. There is a lot of work that has gone into creating a
space for all students with unique needs. The new full time SRO has brought a sense of ease for parents and students.
MS HS disconnect between staff expectations of students. Admin has addressed student transitions from 5 to 6, and 9 months to 9th
grade, but staff do not appear to be communicating expectations of student behaviors and learning.
Staff are committed to differentiation for students to meet them where they are. It is apparent that staff care for the whole child.Encourage more families to be involved in student goal setting and reflection. Also to encourage student voices to be more apparent
in their learning.
Students felt that they are able to achieve their goals that are set for them.Dedicate time for goal setting and reflection with students to give ownership of learning. Allow students to create their own growth
goals.
