DESIRED OUTCOME: Teachers and staff in WGSD are the greatest asset in ensuring that student experiences are high-quality, engaging, and safe. WGSD will develop supportive and collaborative conditions to improve staff satisfaction and performance, resulting in sustaining highly effective staff.

Priority #1: High Quality Staff

Support and develop high-quality staff through a culture of coaching, growth, and collaboration, resulting in improved staff satisfaction and performance.

Priority #2: Staff Support and Retention

Build leadership capacity, support leaders in their roles, and foster a culture of trust and collaboration to reduce staff turnover, ensuring turnover remains at or below the state average.

Why is this important?Teacher quality is an important factor in student growth and achievement. With high turnover in the staff, including key leadership positions, it is important for the district to invest in their staff, create a culture of coaching and learning, and develop leaders.
